Rainbow Johnson-Santamaria and Bow have a complicated, but supportive relationship. However, Bow detests her sister's luck, saying that she skates through life on luck and never applies herself to anything substantial. As children, they had a strong rivalry and were not particularly close, likely due to their large age gap (Bow was twelve-thirteen while Santamaria was five-six) and contrasting personalities. Little Santamaria looked down on Bow, calling her names like "nerd" and often made fun of her. However, she did occasionally feel left out with Bow and her older friends, often trying to hang out with them but was rejected because of her age. As adults, their conflict is minor but Santamaria's constant reinventions are a source of contention for Bow.
Johan Johnson-Johan is very supportive of Santamaria.
